Neues vom Musikmarkt: The KVB “World On Fire“

Das Underground-Wave-Duo The KVB kehrt mit dem neuen Song “World On Fire” zurück! Gegründet im Jahr 2010 von Singer/Songwriter/Multi-Instrumentalist Nicholas Wood als Soloprojekt, stieß ein Jahr später Sängerin/Keyboarderin/Visual Artist Kat Day dazu. Das Duo veröffentlichte in den folgenden knapp zehn Jahren mit ihrem Mix aus hallgetränktem Shoegaze und minimalistischer, elektronischer Produktion sechs Alben und drei EPs, zuletzt 2018 den Longplayer “Only Now Forever”.

Beginnend mit einer Explosion elektronischer Drums, setzt “World on Fire” sofort mit einer euphorischen Mischung aus Gitarren und Synthies ein, unterlegt von Woods und Days gehauchtem und doch kraftvollem Gesangsduett. „Over time we have all become desensitised to bad news and horrific events through television and social media“, erzählen die Beiden. „In much the same way as people slow down to look at a car crash, it feels like we’ve all become more and more obsessed with watching the world on fire.”
